working length of this cord is 4 feet. Relaxed the coiled portion of this cord is about 14 inches long,
NOT 6 FEET
. Add a little more for the uncoiled portion on each end. It is called a 6 foot cord because 6 feet of material goes into the curling machine. This naming scheme is confusing but it's the standard.
