    Description

For your consideration at this wonderful auction is a rare Apple Macintosh Performa 575 and LC 575 Rear Ports Cover with part number 922-0704. It is also compatible with a Performa 577 and Performa 578 and the variations of the LC 570 series with a 68040 processor. The expansion slot cover for the LC-PDS card area has the detachable metal and plastic piece cover (part numbers 815-1154 and 805-0137), and the port cover for the Performa Communications/Ethernet slot.  EMI shielding is in place. The panel does not include screws. Since the plastics are in existence since 1994, normal aging process in the beige color may have occurred, including chips or stress cracks may develop over time near the user-serviceable tabs. It is very important to note that the back of the cover has an opening for just 1 ADB port and 2 serial ports on the left - this cover is not compatible with the logic board on a Performa 550/560 (two ADB ports on the left) or LC 580 (slot for analogue audio video connections), however, you may use this on the case of an LC 520 or Performa 550 when using it exclusively with the LC 575 or Performa 575 logic board. It could be used with a Macintosh TV that was upgraded with a LC 575 logic board (Mystic upgrade), and then have this part spray-painted with black paint.
Please see the pictures below to see the condition of this part. Sold as-is shown in the pictures. One bid receives one cover.
