handset cord for a trimline phone. It
does not color match
but it is definitely red. It is a cherry red, a brighter red than the original AT&T or Western Electric cord. Please study pics. Works on trimline models 205 210 210M 220 230 230M rotary dial 500, 554, touch tone 2500, 2554, Princess, Cortelco / ITT 2500E 2554E and many other phones.
This is NOT the original Western Electric red (no longer in production). It is a cherry red made by Cablesys. New in a plastic bag.

The mickey phones and the 2500 phone best show the

between the WE red and this cherry red cord.
Not compatible with:
Crosley and many of the Coca Cola phones. It will work with any phone that has the modular "clip in" connector. Crosley and many of the Coca Cola phones have at least one end of the cord "hard wired" inside the phone or handset.
This cord works on any phone with a modular connector. Some trimline phones over 30 years old used a special cord that requires a tool to replace. Other phones over 30 years old used hard-wired (aka spade tip) cords. If your cord simply "clicks" in place, this cord will work fine.
Length:
The maximum
practical
working length of this cord is 4 feet. Relaxed the coiled portion of this cord is about
12 inches long, NOT 6 FEET.
Add a little more for the uncoiled portion on each end. It is called a 6 foot cord because 6 feet of material goes into the curling machine. This naming scheme is confusing but it's the standard.
