NOTE:If
you wish to change the shipping method, then please speak up...BEFORE you press the button to buy it, NOT after. We avoid using USPS, but if you insist, then DEFINITELY contact us to find out our ground rules since shipping is very expensive...and any EXTRA expense caused by USPS (the "total amount" beyond our usual UPS method) will be on you. We detest 'cost effective' shipping when it comes to our masterpieces. Just a heads-up. No unwanted surprises here.
NOTE: We have already turned down a 0 offer...
Welcome:
T
his is the sought-after minimalist design (without the golden frou-frou) — something for the Moderns, indeed.
Just found the original write-up for this paperweight (all in capital letters), and the first owner said that the
"
...BEAUTIFUL TURQUOISE BLUE FRENCH BACCARAT PAPERWEIGHT PURCHASED IN PARIS IN 1973 AND MADE AS A PART OF THE 1971 CELEBRATION OF THE 2500 ANNIVERSARY OF THE PERSIAN EMPIRE THUS ITS BEAUTIFUL (pure) COLOR. NEVER OFFERED TO THE PUBLIC FOR PURCHASE AND NEVER REPRODUCED. MARKED ON THE BOTTOM BACCARAT.
"
The opaline measurement is approx. 2.5" wide with not a heavy scratch on top. Soft glass, however, has scuffs. Unless you use a high-end loupe and do a millimeter-by-millimeter inspection of this paperweight, you will not see them. Thankfully, we are
too
honest, and see Picture #5 so that you will not have anything to cry about, for "tears run rings," boo hoo. Of course, dust and fingerprints do not count...
For this age, scuffs that our naked eyes cannot see do not count and certainly will NEVER affect the price we already have in mind. Truth is, ALL vintage Bacarat paperweights available online have scuffs, unless the seller is lying.
To continue, the bottom has "less than" your typical wear, for again, it is made of soft glass,
not
sapphire crystal.
Picture #12 shows an anomaly, a manufacturing one most likely; however, you will need a loupe to be able to see the anomaly, or some evil Sauron-like eye to view it without help. Indeed, a digital camera makes practically everything so overly dramatic.
The other anomaly is on Picture #10. And that, too, is a manufacturing one, more than likely, since we do not display this paperweight; we have many other objects, as you can see from our Ebay site to let your imagination run wild. Alas, if you cannot see the anomaly, then you get our point. BUT, do not mistake dust and fingerprints, right?
The
Baccarat paperweight
is the only one that is being auctioned off.
Please do not hesitate to ask questions.
Shipping with professional packaging by UPS, insurance, tracking, and signature confirmation is on us.
AS IS
. Absolutely NO returns; shipping cost is much too expensive for that.
Even though we DO NOT accept returns, "free shipping" means that in the event that you open a claim to return the item with Ebay/Paypal's permission (OF COURSE), we will DEDUCT from your refund the total amount of UPS packing, shipping, insurance, and return charges. Plus, we will document these shipping charges via attachment of UPS invoices directly to your Ebay inbox.
To give you an idea: On a ,000.00 purchase, these fees will be approximately , which already includes the "return" expense (indeed, UPS will charge for the package to be returned to us; nothing is free when it comes to shipping, "FYI"). Actually, the cost may even be higher if the size of the box is huge and if you open the package...since this example is strictly about refusing a package being handed to you by the UPS carrier. BTW, this example is about a small box just to send out a wristwatch.
Again, be VERY aware before you press any buttons; (or more) is nothing to sneeze at.
Actual color may vary from pictures due to digital camera phenomenon, lighting, your computer settings, and other factors.
Thank you for stopping by.
P.S.

his piece will have a tamper-security sticker
