A cherry red
short, 12 inch,
handset cord. It
does not color match
the old Western Electric phones. It is a brighter red. Please see pics. The original WE cords are no longer in production. Works on any modern phone where both ends of the cord have the modular connector. If your cord simply "clicks" in place, this cord will work fine. Google RJ9 for more details.

The mickey phones and the 2500 phone best show the difference between the WE red and this cherry red cord.
Not compatible with:
Crosley and many of the Coca Cola phones. Crosley and many of the Coca Cola phones have at least one end of the cord "hard wired" inside the phone or handset.
Length:
The maximum
practical
working length of this cord is 4 feet. Relaxed the coiled portion of this cord is about 12 inches long,
NOT 6 FEET
. Add a little more for the uncoiled portion on each end. It is called a 6 foot cord because 6 feet of material goes into the curling machine. This naming scheme is confusing but it's the standard.
