    Description

Here is a Civil War that was popular with GAR Reunions back in the 1880s.  This knife was manufactured by Jonathan Crookes cutlery which has been making knives in England for well over a century.  This knife is massive in both size and weight.  Notice the thickness in the grip.  No, there is no knife like this from our Civil War but Liberty and Union motif on the blade and the Liberty & Union on both sides of the grip are what should have gone on a knife like this back in the day, and it appears Crookes felt the same way.  A copy of this knife sold for 00 a few months ago at an auction out east, but due to the condition of the blade (you can tap the indents out of the blade if your careful) I'm only asking 50.00 for this extremely rare collectors Civil War Bowie fighting knife.  The leather scabbard is original and fits the knife like a glove.  The knife is 14.5" over all and the blade is 9.5".  It is a heavy knife but it is very well balanced.  No matter what this is a very rare and very cool knife to add to your collection.
