Original sword blade for a Clauberg Staff & Field Civil War Officer's Sword. Elaborate hilt and silver grip were removed years ago and utilized elsewhere. Blade measures 37 3/4" overall including tang. Actual blade measures 32" x 1 1/8". Ricasso stamped with Clauberg / Solingen logo and Knight logo also on the tang. Etched and engraved with highly stylized "U.S." along with the German style spread wing Federal Eagle. Blade is without nicks to edge and and retains some bright original polish.
