    Description

    High quality antique rosewood veneer case for pistol, etc.  Exterior dimensions 8-1/8" x 4-1/2" x 1-5/8".  Interior dimensions 7-1/2" x 3-7/8" x 7/8".  This would fit a gun like a Smith & Wesson 1st Model 22 caliber with some cartridges, or could be an Old West gambler's set with a Derringer, some chips, and an Ace or two hidden under the top lining.  Brass plate on top that could be engraved with initials or a presentation. Rosewood veneer has an attractive varnish, shows some minor chipping on the edges.  Pine bottom shows some age cracks. And old label and unreadable notation are on the inside of the top. Has functioning lock and key.
