    Description

Offered for sale and just unpacked from a box that was packed away some 25-30 years ago comes this great set of 3 pieces of Coin Glass.  Coin Glass was manufactured by the Fostoria Glass Company from about 1958-1982.  This pattern was a growing collectible and sales were brisk!  Then, the Fostoria Glass Company sold the molds to Lancaster Colony and they started to sell "reproductions" in similar and in some cases the same colors.  Much confusion abounded and some people were hesitant to purchase this pattern.  You can't blame them, of course!!  Luckily for you, these pieces have the ORIGINAL LABELS from the Fostoria Company so there is no confusion for you!!  Your only question is - were these pieces manufactured in the 1950's, 1960's, or the 1970's?
I identified this pattern in the wonderful book "Collectible Glassware from the 40's, 50's, 60's" by Cathy & Gene Florence (copyright 2010, 10th edition).  The 3 pieces that I am offering are:  a 9 inch oval bowl (#1372/189), a creamer (#1372/680), and a sugar bowl (#1372/673) in crystal.  The sugar bowl does not have a glass lid.  Both the oval bowl and the creamer have original Fostoria labels on them - the labels are in PRISTINE CONDITION.  The sugar bowl does not have an original label but it was presumably part of a creamer & sugar set.  As the pieces have their original labels, we can assume that the pieces were never used.  Indeed, they are in PRISTINE CONDITION with only one tiny bit of roughness on one of the panels on the side of the sugar bowl.  There are no cracks, no chips, no scratches - only the aforementioned scrape.
Please see the photos, check my feedback, and ask any questions before making a purchase.  You can rest assured that you have ORIGINAL FOSTORIA PIECES and NO REPRODUCTIONS!!
