he blade has a historical dark patina.

has wooden handles and metal guard.
The blade has mark: " DUFILHO N.ORLEANS".
You can see a similar marking in the 5-th picture that I found in the book " Price Guide to Amercan Swords " by Arthur Wyllie, page 248.
