This is a decent tool. Nothing fancy or complicated just functional. Designed to stretch copper tube for soldering by hitting it with a hammer and then using a wrench to spin it out of the pipe. That's exactly what it does and it works.

This swaging tool works quite well. I had considered buying a bit set for a drill, but those can become quite expensive. This is a good alternative to the more pricy options. The good news, this tool works and does not seem like it will break. It also will not become dull like some drill bit attachments might. This tool does the job, is durable, and works great. Just be sure to scrape off the burrs before you start.

Not much to say about a piece of metal with a polished surface and tapers to several diameters. It is packaged on card stock with clear plastic. It is easy to remove without any cutting tools by simply twisting to loosen the adhesion. I will say that it is a very compact 6 inches long and less than 1 inch in diameter. I used the swaging tool on some 1/4' soft copper tubing and it worked well. I recommend using many small blows of the hammer rather than trying to force the tool with fewer aggressive blows.

I picked up a husky professional 6-in-1 swaging tool to cut down on work time at the job site. When I'm connecting two pipes together instead of soldering two joints I will only have to solder one joint. This will save me time and money because I don't have to buy couplings anymore.When I ordered it from I received it and took it out of the box it's 5- 1/2 in long and 3/4 in.thick on one side and the other side tapers down to 3/16 in. It's made of a hardened steel metal that is long- lasting and it will expand pipes from 3/16 to 5/8 of an inch. This is the 6 Dimensions it will expand pipe to 3/16,1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8 OD. I opened the tool to try it out for the first time on a piece of 1/2 copper pipe. I put the swaging tool into the pipe and put the other end on the floor and hit the swaging tool about five times. I was in shock how good it worked. I took another piece of 1/2 copper pipe and installed it into the pipe that I just swagged and it fits perfectly.I have never used a swaging tool before this but I'm going to tell you it's very simple to use and when I'm doing pipework I will use this swaging tool on every job now. The only thing that bothered me about this tool was it should have had the pipe sizes laser-etched into the tool then this swaging tool would have been perfect. You can't go wrong by purchasing this tool because it has a.I had a lot of fun using this Husky swaging tool. 4 stars for Husky but put some size markings on the tool. The Husky Professional 6-in-1 Swaging Tool will allow 'like sized '3' to 5' copper tubing to fit without using an oversized collar. The tool is clearly marked in the 1' increments and with good sweating techniques, could save on fitting cost. I also use another swaging tool to clean up the ends of tubing and have given it yet another job of wood and metal hole alignment task...works great!

The Husky six-in-one swaging tool is yet another example of something I get and then ask myself, 'Why didn't I buy one of these years ago?' I could have saved many hours searching for the right couplers when doing long copper pipe runs. So far I've only used it on small-diameter copper, it works just as advertised. Next time I take on a real plumbing project, this is going to come in handy - I may end up buying one in a larger size for bigger-diameter pipe as well.

So this is your basic hand swaging tool 3/16 to 5/8 OD tubing. Main use is for joing simular size cooper tubing without couplings. Designed as such that you only need a hammer and this tool to make the coupling. Trying on some 1/2 inch pipe you will need a good solid surface for the end of the pipe to get some leverage with the hammer and swaging tool. If you have a pipe that maybe is ridgid mounted you might be able to get this going. We usually use a pipe clamp to hold the pipe while tapping the tool . The fit is very nice after making the coupler and soliders very well. The end has a hex shape for a wrench if your not able to remove after tapping it. Hint dont side tap to loosen if stuck as it will make an oval fitting that might not soilder well. All in all work well. Works very easy on softer tubing.

This is the perfect tool for joining together the same sized copper tubing without using a coupling. I have not used this with low temperature solder such as sweating hard copper but for silver solder and HVAC work it is perfect.
