Gimme Shelter Tour was supposed to be the West Coast version of Woodstock
The San Francisco Chapter of the Hells Angels were hired as security in exchange for 0 worth of beer.  Hiring Hells Angels as security was common at the time.  The Hells Angels also served as security for Evil Knievel during his failed Snake River jump.
This was a previously unseen photo.
In this photo you can see a bewildered and confused Mick Jagger, several members of the Red and White and a random German Shepherd on stage.
