Sony ICF-SW20. Made in Japan.
I picked this up with the intentions of getting back into shortwave. It has many many cosmetic flaws, including scratches and chips. In my handling, a small hanging chip separated (it’s included). Picked up FM and AM very strong and surprised me with the clarity on the 3” internal speaker. I opened it up and want to report that IT SMELLS AWFUL. Enough that it turned me off from proceeding further. I couldn’t get it fully closed and was hesitant to apply pressure.
The tuning dial needs to be recalibrated as it doesn’t move up past 97 FM mark.
Please only bid if you are shortwave aficionado or experienced with these units.
Don’t want anyone disappointed.
