    Description

    Post US Civil War Model 1860 Staff & Field Sword with Scabbard. Ricasso is unmarked. The guard is tight but the grip will move a bit if you force it. The grip is 95% complete and the twisted wire is 100% complete. The clamshell has the typical eagle with flags on it. The blade is unsharpened, the tip is a little sharp, straight, no nicks, and has age spots scattered throughout. The scabbard is solid with nickel loss freckles with light surface rust scattered throughout, there is a "5" below the throat piece, the mounts and drag. The washer is intact. Length of the blade measures 28 5/16"

    , length of the sword is 34 3/16", and overall in the scabbard it is 35 5/8".
